Gained 2,848 yards during an outstanding three-year football career at EMU. He was the leading rusher in the nation in 1971 before suffering a career-ending knee injury. He set EMU football records for rushing yardage (2,848), total offensive yards (2,848), scoring (156 points) and touchdowns (26). He was an eighth round draft choice of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1972 National Football League Draft.
