Originally from England, Dave was the first great distance runner under Coach Parks...Was the first of only two runners to make All-American four times (NAIA)...Finished among the top 10 twice in the National AAU meet, won six NAIA individual titles in track, was asilver medalist in the 10,000 at the 1967 Pan-Am Games and ran in the 5,000 and 10,000 at the 1968 Olympics...Best times of 14:10.44, 4:05, 8:44.44 (2 mile) and 29:20.04 (10,000)...Ellis in the EMU Hall of Fame.
