Multiple sports standout, earning three football letters, four track letters and was a member of the swimming team... Won four boxing championships as an undergraduate... Served a s vice president of the senior class and was a member of the Men's Union Executive Board for two years... Earned his degree in industrial Chemistry and went on to become an expert in plastics, contributing to the production of vinyl tubing for medical use... Held seven U.S. patents... Some of the plastics the he helped create were used in the first heart-lung machines... Was a member of the American Chemical Society for 30 years and was a charter member of the Society of Plastic Engineers... Former president of the Cleveland Kiwanis Club... Served as president and business manager of the Cleveland Civic Theater.
