Known to many as the "Godfather of Michigan Soccer"... Came to America from Malta and started spreading his passion for soccer at his flower shop, Livonia Florist... Created one of the finest youth soccer clubs in the U.S., at the Livonia YMCA, known as the Livonia Wolves (boys) and Michigan Hawks (girls) in the early 1970's... Started Total Soccer in the 1980's and was the largest indoor facilities of its time with four metro Detroit locations, today it is known as Total Sports Complex and still remains as the largest indoor facilities in the region... Brought professional soccer to the Motor City when the Detroit Rockers were created in 1989... Founded the Michigan Bucks PDL franchise and moved the team from Saginaw to Pontiac in 1999... Served as the first Head Coach of EMU women's soccer from 1995-1998... Joined the Mid-American Conference in 1997 and posted a career record of 11-5-2 for the 1997 and 1998 seasons... Posted a 38-32-3 career record... EMU women's soccer field was named in his honor in 1999.
