Four-time letterwinner for the EMU women's swimming program...Earned All-American honors in the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW), a forerunner to women's NCAA competition, at their National Championships at Duke University in 1978...Finished seventh in the 50-yard backstroke prelim and 15th in the final to earn All-American honors...Set and held 11 varsity records during her career...Her 200-yard backstroke record held for 11 years before being broken...Won five first-place finishes in the Mid-American Conference Championship Invitational as a senior...Qualified for the AIAW Nationals as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay as a senior...Qualified and participated in three events, the 50-100- and 200-yard backstrokes, at the AIAW Division I National Championships at Duke as a freshman, Pittsburgh as a sophomore, UNLV as a junior and South Carolina as a senior...Turned in five first-place finishes in the 1980 Michigan AIAW Championships, including winning the 50-,100- and 200-yard backstrokes, and as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay and the winning 400-yard medley relay team...Helped lead the team to a runner-up finish at the 1979 State of Michigan AIAW Championships when she won the 50-,100-and 200-yard backstrokes, and swam on three winning relay teams: the 400-medley relay, the 400-freestyle relay, and the 800-freestyle relay...Undefeated MAC champion in the 50- 100- and 200-yard backstrokes during all four college seasons.
