About Us

The E-Club is an official Alumni Chapter chartered by the EMU Alumni Association. It was formed in 1974 as a replacement for the Varsity Club, which existed some years earlier. Since then, the chapter has enrolled members from all eras of EMU athletics.

The purpose of the E-Club, as stated in its constitution, is to seek out and stimulate the interest of all Eastern Michigan University letter winners by:

• Providing leadership that will promote and preserve tradition, pride and loyalty among the athletics letter winners of Eastern Michigan University;

• Providing Eastern Michigan University letter winners with current athletics news and initiatives;

• Recognizing and honoring letter winners who have brought distinction to themselves and their University through induction in the E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame.

Building the Next Generation

The E-Club also fosters a spirit of camaraderie and EMU pride among the current generation of student-athletes through the following:

• The YPSI Awards
  We honor outstanding academic achievements among current EMU student-athletes.

• The E-Letter Jacket Ceremony
  This ceremony helps recognize excellent athletic achievements by providing proper recognition of student-athletes with the presentation of their letter winner jacket.
