Graduated from EMU in 1958 and went on to serve the university's athletic department as a coach and athletic director from 1976 until her retirement in 1991. During her tenure as the women's A.D., Parker was responsible for increasing scholarships for women, moving women's coaching positions from part-time to full-time and helping add softball as an intercollegiate sport. The EMU Women's Athletic Endowment Fund is named in her honor.
