Lettered in football, basketball, and baseball... Played on football teams that went 17-5 in three seasons... Served as the president of the Men's Union... We also a campus boxing champion, winning the middleweight title in 1935 and the light heavyweight title in 1937... Went on to coach at Northville High School from 1939-41... Joined the U.S. Air Force in 1941 and from 1942-45 served in the U.S. Navy... Returned to Dearborn High School from 1946-55 as the athletics director... Was the athletics director and a coach at Dearborn Edsel Ford High School from 1956-75... Honored by the Dearborn Edsel Ford Varsity Alumni Club in 1988 with the motto, "He Always Gave of Himself"... Inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches' Hall of Fame in 1969.
