Track and Cross-Country: Graduated in 2005; Four-year letter-winner for the men’s track and field and cross country teams from 2000-2004; NCAA Division I National Champion in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase in 2004 (8:42.64), and was runner-up in 2003; Four-time NCAA All-American and 10-time Mid-American Conference Champion; Helped the EMU Men’s Track and Field team finish 26th in the nation in 2004; Earned the 2004 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship’s Most Valuable Runner; EMU record holder in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase; One of five sub 4:00-milers in EMU history (3:59.83); Competed in the Olympic Trial Finals twice in the Steeplechase; Won the 2010 Detroit Free Press Marathon with a time of 2:28:30 in his first attempt at running a marathon.
