LaTonya appears five separate times in EMU’s record book. Currently she ranks fourth in career assists, fifth in steals, and eighth in free throws made. Not to mention, tenth in single season assists and twelfth in scoring. When it was time to hang up the shoes, LaTonya turned to coaching. She spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Colorado. The Buffaloes went on to appear in the NCAA Tournament on five occasions and the team made it to the Elite Eight. The New Haven Chargers hired LaTonya as Head Coach, and they made back-to-back appearances in the Northeast-10 Semifinal Championships. She has coached 20 All-Conference players and 12 players who continued to pursue professional careers.
