Has served as EMU's Sports Information Director for the past 31 years...Joined the EMU staff as the Assistant SID in 1974 and was elevated to SID in 1975...Has won numerous College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Best in Nation Awards for publications over the past 30 years...The 2001 football media guide was singled out as the best in the Mid-American Conference...Selected as one of nine Media Marshals for the 2004 Ryder Cup Golf competition at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills...Was secretary of the Detroit Sports Broadcasters organization from 1990-94 and vice president for one year, 1989...Before joining the EMU athletics staff, he worked as a sports writer at The Ypsilanti Press for two years...Was the sports editor of The Eastern Echo for two years while an undergraduate...A longtime member of (CoSIDA) as well as the MAC News Media Association.
