Was an outstanding softball player for EMU from 1986-88...Became the first women's softball player in school history to earn All-America honors when she was named second-team in 1988...Finished her career as EMU's all-time leader in at bats, hits, batting average and steals...Hit .362 lifetime...Finished her senior season with a .382 batting average with 73 hits and 33 runs scored...Doubled EMU's record for stolen bases in 1988 with 34...Went on to compete for the Daly Restaurant Women's ASA Class A fastpitch softball team from 1989-98 and helped that team to national tournament runner-up finishes in 1989, 1995 and 1997...Had a lifetime batting average of .402 while playing for that Daly's squad...In 1993 she was selected to play for the St. Louis Express fastpitch softball team that toured throughout Europe...Invited to the Colorado Silver Bullets Women's Professional Baseball tryout camp.
